Treatments

Allopathic - Conventional Western Medicine

Allopathic care is the type of medical treatment patients receive in most hospitals and medical practices in the U.S., also known as 'conventional' or western medicine. In conventional medicine the focus is the diagnosis of disease with controlling palliative, symptomatic relief. Medicines are often manufactured synthetics as opposed to using substances close to nature.

We use antibiotics, blood pressure and diabetic medicines, and other allopathic medicines only when necessary. They can be the best choice for a given situation. Your preferences and situation is always taken into account.

Nutrition Based Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is treatment with herbal blends, minerals and vitamins. The treatments are based on the wisdom of local peoples throughout the world. They have been heavily researched and studied, for optimal results. All supplement products sold here are quality products, most are pharmaceutical grade, held to a higher standard than those you would find at a typical grocery or drug store.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a safe, non-toxic system of medicine that gently stimulates the body toward optimal health and balance. We strive to use a single medicine for all of the person's symptoms. Homeopathic medications are tiny pills, or pellets, which are placed under the tongue. The majority of these medications are extracted from plants and minerals.

There are no known contradictions or drug interactions between homeopathic and conventional medications. For over 150 years, homeopathy has been used to treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and deep-seated chronic problems.

For more information, see Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicines (introductory chapters) by Stephen Cummings, M.D. and Dana Ullman, M.P.H. or the National Center for Homeopathy web site.

Osteopathic Manipulative
Medicine (OMM)

Osteopathic Manipulation is a hands-on, non-invasive treatment that is used to diagnose and treat injury and illness and encourages your body's natural tendency toward good health. The techniques used by Dr. Greiner to accomplish the goal of the totally functioning body include: muscle energy, myofacial, cranial-sacral, strain-counter strain, high velocity low amplitude (HVLA), and visceral techniques.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Medicine

How Bioidetical HR Therapy Helps - with Dr. Greiner

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement uses plant based hormones that are accompanied with herbal treatments, diet, exercise and stress reductions to treat PMS and menopausal symptoms. These prescriptions have a different risk-benefit ratio than synthetic hormone replacements. Your evaluation prior to a prescription may include saliva hormone tests, your personal experience (history) and a physical exam.
